About Us

In the beginning there was wood

I started the company back in 2017 as a hobby. To start with it was just me making stuff literally in the shed at the bottom of the garden, and look where we are now! That said, we still operate a fairly narrow product range, and I’d prefer that we do a few things well rather than a lot of things that are mediocre. I’m also pleased to be able to say that sustainablity is still in all of our decision making, whether it is supply chain performance, zero waste, aiming to be plastic free or off setting carbon from our business.

We are a small and friendly company but work hard to bring you the best products we can. We hope you enjoy using our boards, we certainly enjoy making them. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We hope that you will support us by buying our products. In return, we will do our utmost to be nice people, and make it easy for you to do business with us.

Sincerely,

Mike,

[Chief Sawdust Maker]

Tree planting

We are part of a tree planting and reforestaion program managed by onetreeplanted.org. They are an environmental charity that are dedicated to making it easier for individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity and help reforestation efforts around the world. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. Have you ever taken an Aspirin? It comes from the bark of a tree!

ONE CHOPPING BOARD = ONE TREE. ALWAYS.

Social responsibility

Responsible business, accountable business practices, corporate social responsibility,  actions speak louder than words, there’s never a wrong time to do the right thing. Yeah yeah, heard it all before right?

  • All cliches and buzzwords? Absolutley.
  • Are we doing it in real life anyway? Yes we are.
  • All more relevant then ever? Yes.

Here’s the bottom line. We pay our bills as soon as we can, which is normally early. We treat others as we would like to be treated and we donate a significant portion of our profits to charity. Here’s who we are supporting right now.
